Ashok Panagariya

Dr. Ashok Panagariya is an Indian neurologist, Ex-Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur.

Biography

Panagariya was born in Jaipur in a family of freedom fighter; his father B. L. Panagariya was a pre-independence journalist. He attended Sawai ManSingh Medical College, Jaipur, receiving an MBBS in 1972, and then attended Sawai ManSingh Medical College, Jaipur, receiving his MD in 1976. In 1982 he obtained a DM (Neurology)from PGI Chandigarh and became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, England -2008

He first taught neurology at Sawai ManSingh Medical College, building its Department of Neurology from scratch. He later became Principal and Controller of the College and its Attached Hospitals.

• Fellow of Royal College of Physicians, England, 2008
• Awarded Dr BC Roy medal by President of India. Dr. Ashok Panagariya also super specialized in Neurology.^[1]
• Merit award from Government of Rajasthan on 26th Jan 1992.

Publications'

Dr Panagariya has more than Ninety publications and chaired many national & International conferences. He has been on the editorial board of the NSI journals Neuroscience Today,, and JIMA and referee to Journal of API.
